The Venus Healthcare group operates in three main sub-sectors:
Venus Care Lodges
Venus Healthcare Division is an independent specialist health and social care provider for adults with learning disability and is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide residential services for people requiring 24-hour care. The Division was founded in 2005 to address specific care needs throughout the UK. At Venus Healthcare we pride ourselves on offering the highest level of professional service in the most comfortable surroundings.
We currently operate 50 beds within the M25 with more homes opening in the coming months. The services we provide include residential facilities for adults with:
- Learning Disabilities with or without Mental Health issues
- Forensic history
- Challenging Behaviour
- Physical Disabilities
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Supported Living Accommodation
We aim to be a centre of excellence in the provision of promoting a positive image for people with specialised care needs. We work closely with the individual throughout their journey to meet their specific physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and physiological needs. Our philosophy is to deliver high quality standard of care with a holistic person centred approach with dignity and respect to achieve a better quality of life.
Current homes
Lotus Lodge
Lotus Lodge specialises in care for adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and other complex neurological conditions that require nursing intervention.
The home is set in a suburban area of Wanstead, East London (Redbridge Council).
Lotus Lodge has spacious bedrooms all of which are en-suite with shower facilities with full wheelchair access. There is also a bathing room with a fully integrated track hoist. The home also benefits from an indoor disability lift; being fully compliant with disability access regulations. It has a kitchen with dual height countertops. For the safety and comfort of all of our residents, each room has a profiling bed with pressure relieving mattress and detachable cot side.
Lotus Lodge provides services for adults with brain injury and neurological conditions and other complex and serious disabilities that require nursing intervention related to the following:
- Cardiovascular Accident (Stroke)
- Muscular Dystrophy (Paralysis)
- Cerebral Palsy
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Early Onset of Dementia
- Alzheimer's Disease
Abbey Lodge
Abbey Lodge specialises in care for adults with learning disability and/mental health issues (dual diagnosis).
The home is located in a quiet suburban area of Bushey Hertfordshire. All the bedrooms are large double bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The home has a big lounge and 2 recreational/cooling off rooms. It also has a large landscaped garden with big decking area for BBQ and social events for the residents. Located in quiet suburban area, the residents benefit from peaceful, homely environment where they can be comfortable and participate actively in rehabilitative therapies.
Abbey Lodge provides 24 hour residential services for adults with Learning Disability and/mental health needs (dual diagnosis) including
- Autism
- Asperger's Syndrome
- Down's syndrome
- Challenging behaviour
- Personality Disorder
New Homes (in the final stages of CQC registration)
Maitland Lodge
Maitland Lodge specialises in care for adults with learning disability and forensic issues and is operated by Venus Healthcare division. It is located in Hackney, East London and is scheduled to open in October 2011.
Maitland Lodge has large bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with shower facilities. Downstairs is a 24 hour residential service which delivers high quality care for men with mild and moderate learning disability and additional forensic needs who need care and support in the community. We support individuals who have a learning disability and who exhibit either offending or significantly challenging behaviour. There are an additional 4 bedrooms upstairs for residents requiring less supervision. Maitland Lodge offers a safe and secure environment with a full range of facilities including separate lounge, dinning room, game area, a garden and a number of quiet rooms and ample living space. There is an ADL kitchen to help develop their cooking skills. The home is fitted with disabled lift and other adaptations that make it accessible for those service users who have physical disabilities. The home provides for specialist furnishings that have been identified as part of the assessment of needs of individual residents.
Manor Lodge
Manor Lodge specialises in care for people with learning disability and associated challenging behaviour and is operated by Venus Healthcare division. It is located in the London Borough of Hillingdon and is scheduled to open in October 2011.
Manor Lodge is set within two acres of landscaped private gardens with exclusive access. Therapeutic walks have been designed around the grounds and outdoor therapies are encouraged to really make the most of this idyllic setting. All the rooms are en-suite with shower/bath facilities. The home offers a safe and secure environment with a full range of facilities including separate lounge and dining facilities, quiet rooms for personal space and a large kitchen.
Manor Lodge provides service for people with challenging behaviour and other complex needs that require 24 hours residential care related to the following:
- Autism
- Personality disorders
- Aspergers syndrome
- Challenging behavior
- Rehabilitation
- Respite care
Toby Lodge
Toby Lodge specialises in care for adults with multiple physical disabilities. The home is located in Stepney, East London (Tower Hamlets Council).
All the bedrooms in Toby Lodge are en-suite with shower facilities. The home is fully compliant with disability access regulations and fitted with integrated track hoist in all bedrooms and an indoor disability lift. The kitchen has dual height countertops allowing access to all service users. There is a bathing room with a fully integrated track hoist. For the safety and comfort of all of our residents, each room has a profiling bed with pressure relieving mattress and detachable cot side.
Toby Lodge provides services for adults with multiple and profound physical disabilities and other complex needs that require 24 hour residential care related to the following:
- ABI - Brain Injury
- Physical Disabilities
- Muscular Dystrophy (Paralysis)
- Cerebral Palsy
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Community Living - assisted living service
This service is part of the second phase of Venus Healthcare, following the recent completion of the first phase I homes. It is intended to be provided primarily to the Service Users who are discharged from Venus Care Lodges after their rehabilitation period within a residential care home environment. Community Living services are for residents who are relatively independent whereby carers provide on call services to residents who might need assistance from time to time.
The main purpose of these facilities will be to offer continuity of care to Service Users by providing pathway services within a single organisation providing a spectrum of services.
Venus Mind & Body
As part of the next phase of development, the existing clinical team within Venus Healthcare including consultant psychologists and psychiatrists plan to provide psychiatric services to private and corporate clients through private registered hospitals.
Venus Health & Beauty
Venus Health & Beauty provides a bespoke beauty concept that includes skin care, weight loss and fat reduction, epilation, hair removal and skin rejuvenation using innovative yet affordable non-invasive laser treatments for both men and women.
Venus Health & Beauty in partnership with Biotec Italia under the brand name Xfolia. Using international research and state of the art aesthetic medical technologies have developed a range of high quality multi function devices. These sleek and elegantly designed devices are for use by beauty professionals within beauty institutes and salons. Lotus Mountain
Through a Chinese branch of Venus Healthcare, Lotus Mountain, was set up in Zhongshan city in Guangdong province, China.
Lotus Mountain aims to identify manufacturers that can produce laser machines which meet our European standards as prescribed by our Italian partner and produce quality machines at affordable prices, for import to Europe and across the world.

Eaton Lodge
In line with the current government drive to create efficiency savings across the Health and Social care sector, where out-of-area placements are encouraged to return to London where better assessments generally lead to efficiency savings.
Venus Healthcare division is pleased to have purchased via the agents, Hendersons, a 4 acre land in London Borough of Hillingdon in 2006 previously owned by London Borough of Southwark. We propose to provide a spectrum of services within the Learning Disability diagnosis in one location. It is part of our on-going major development where we are working closely with the local residents and planning authorities in order to ensure that our development aims are in harmony with the local requirements by creating jobs and opportunities for the local community while meeting the requirements of the local authority and surrounding areas.
